If you’re looking for the best quality, we recommend getting the Bialetti Aluminum Moka pot, which is the leading brand in the Moka pots business. There’s also the Mini 2-Cup Moka pot, which has a unique design but produces the same espresso-like coffee.
Should I buy the aluminum or stainless steel Moka pot?
This depends on your preferences since both materials have their benefits. Stainless steel is more durable, easier to clean, and compatible with an induction stovetop. Meanwhile, aluminum Moka pots are lighter, conduct heat better, and are generally more affordable. Check out our full comparison of stainless steel and aluminum Moka pots.
How to use Moka pots
Simply add water to the bottom chamber of the Moka pot and add the coffee grounds to the filter basket before placing it over your heat source. For more details, read this full Moka pot recipe.
Are these Moka pots easy to clean?
The classic Moka pot can easily be cleaned by rinsing it with warm filtered water after every use and drying it with a cotton towel. Putting Moka pots in the dishwasher is not recommended.
Can you half-fill a moka pot?
Unfortunately not, each size moka pot can only make the amount of coffee it is marked for. A larger moka pot cannot be used to create a smaller amount of coffee, as the pressure just won’t build, and the coffee will come out weak.
