If you expect to get perfectly even tamp, beware – there is some tolerance in the mechanism, and I am getting similar results as with my regular tamper. Also, you cannot twist the tamper after end of tamping, because twisting only tightens the pad, and does not rotate it, so sometimes grains stick to the pad and are not as easy to remove. The overall feel of the product is nice, but I might be going back to my regular tamper.
