This palm tamper has a low-profile design that facilitates the barista’s ability to tamp with a straight arm at a 90-degree angle to the counter. 9 March 2024 the base is made of steel and is very well polished. The other materials are plastic. In both cases material feels durable. The plastic a little hard, it is not advisable to throw it away. The right size and gives an excellent finish. It is adjustable, and for better operation you should not fill the basket with coffee. Highly recommended
